awesome pictures! Isn't that the old Wilson Toll Road trail you travelled there on your map?
This road comes up through "big ivy" out of dillingham past barnardsville, and the trail is an old 2 track road called "laural gap" on the Linville/mt. mitchel nat. geo. map. We dropped down Staire Creek after that.

I'm curious about the track on the Yancy county side of the ridge going down the Cane River towards Eskota. Last I knew (some years ago) that was all private property - part of Big Tom Wilson Preserve. I'd love to go back in there again.
I have never, ever even seen snow, let alone ridden on it or amongst it. YOu take good photos! Thanks for sharing your pics and rides!
